I was first introduced to Shiatsu in my teenage years as I was eagerly practicing Aikido in my native Rome, Italy. It made a huge impression on me observing my Aikido master use shiatsu to help injured students, by directing the energy where it needed to go.

Since then I have been involved in learning more about non-conventional medicine studying Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, nutrition, Bioenergetics, Postural Integration, Reiki, dance, Namikoshi Shiatsu and Ohashiatsu.

Claudia Copparoni, shiatsu practitioner in NY

Between 1999 and 2012 I taught as a Certified Ohashiatsu® Instructor and Instructor Trainer, affiliated with the Ohashi Institute in Manhattan.

I teach both in Europe and in the U.S and maintain a private practice in New York City.

In my free time you'll find me hiking, kayaking or practicing creative art. Cooking is also an important part of my life as a way to keep healthy and connected with nature. And look around: my favorite transportation is a turquoise bike!
